After giving your fingerprints, the usual question is how long it will take before you can collect the card. In Alicante province there is no single lot number for every office. Alicante, Benidorm, Torrevieja, Elche, Denia, Alcoy, Elda and Orihuela receive and process their cards separately, so their lot numbers move at different speeds. Comparing your lot with another police office will not tell you much. First check where your fingerprints were taken, then look at the receipt you received that day. There are several numbers on it, and it is easy to confuse them. If it shows 2026/015, N: 150, the lot number you need is 015. Once you know the office and the correct number, you can follow the progress of your card.
Lot numbers do not follow a fixed timetable. Several groups of cards can arrive within a few days, and then there may be no change for weeks. This means nobody can give an exact collection date in advance - only an estimate based on recent activity at that office. When your number is ready, also check how collection works there. Some offices require an appointment, while others use a different procedure. If you live far away, confirm that the card can actually be collected before buying tickets or booking accommodation.

NIE and TIE are not the same. Your NIE is your identification number, while the TIE is the physical card you are waiting for after giving fingerprints. To see whether the card may already be ready, check your office and number on the TIE status page. If your lot has not been reached yet, the TIE calculator can give you an approximate date based on recent changes at that office. It is an estimate, not an official collection date.
Before travelling to collect the card, check your receipt and the instructions for your office. Alicante province offices do not all work in the same way.
