If you are waiting for your TIE card in Barcelona, check the Extranjería lot for the office where your fingerprints were taken. There are many offices across the province, and each one may manage its lots separately. Badalona, Sabadell, Terrassa, Mataró, Santa Coloma, L'Hospitalet, Rambla Guipuscoa and other offices do not have to move at the same pace.

NIE, TIE card and how to check whether your card may be ready

NIE and TIE card are not the same thing. NIE is your identification number as a foreign national in Spain. The TIE card is the physical document you receive after the procedure. If your fingerprints have already been taken and you are waiting for your TIE card, follow the lot for the office shown on your resguardo.

You can check whether your TIE card may already be ready on the TIE card status page. If your number has not been reached yet, the TIE card calculator can give you an estimate based on recent movement at that office. It is a guide, not an official collection date.

Extranjería lots in Barcelona city

If your application is linked to CNP RAMBLA GUIPUSCOA 74, check the lot for that office. Do not use numbers from Badalona, L'Hospitalet, Santa Coloma, Sant Adrià or other offices as a reference, because each location may receive TIE cards and update its lots at different times.

Collecting your TIE card in Barcelona

When the lot reaches your number, check the collection rules for the office shown on your resguardo. Conditions can vary between police stations, so do not assume that every office works in the same way.
