Once your fingerprints have been taken, the waiting period for the card begins. In the Region of Murcia, the first thing to check is which office is linked to your application, because Cartagena, Lorca, Molina de Segura, Yecla and Murcia update their lots independently. If one office moves forward, that does not mean the others have received new cards too.
Your lot number is usually shown on the receipt you received after the fingerprint appointment. There are several numbers on the document, so it is easy to look at the wrong one. For example, if you see 2026/015, N: 150, the number you need to check is 015. The number after N: is a different reference, not your TIE lot.
It is also better not to compare your case with someone else’s. Two people may have given fingerprints around the same time and still receive their cards on different days if they belong to different offices or lots. In Murcia, each office follows its own pace.

Always select the office linked to your own application. The lot from one police station does not tell you whether a card processed at another office is ready.
NIE is your foreigner identification number in Spain. TIE is the physical card. If you have already given your fingerprints and are waiting for the card, you need to follow the lot for the office linked to your application.
You can check whether your card may already be ready on the TIE Status page. If your lot has not been reached yet, the TIE calculator can show an estimated waiting period based on recent updates from the selected office. It is only an estimate, not an official collection date.
Check your receipt and the rules of your office before travelling. The collection process can differ from one police station to another. If an appointment is required, look for POLICIA - RECOGIDA DE TARJETA DE IDENTIDAD DE EXTRANJERO (TIE) on the official appointment website. It is better to check first than to make the journey unnecessarily.
